About

Donna Caruana

Donna has been in the health industry for over 15 years as a myotherapist and a lecturer at MIMT, a leading training organisation for massage. She pursued her passion for body and movement in 2021 when she studied a Diploma of Contemporary Pilates and Teaching Methodology with some of the best teachers in the industry at Tensegrity Training in Melbourne.

Donna believes that Pilates is for every age, gender and flexibility and that everybody should try it. There is no mastering Pilates, it is a practice, and the joy of watching people on their own journey is one of Donna’s favourite things about it.

Donna continues to keep up-to-date by attending workshops and courses, reading and researching, self-practice and learning from her peers and clients. She is excited to talk about and educate people about all things Pilates and health.

Through her work as a Myotherapist and lecturer at MIMT, she has gained a wealth of knowledge in the anatomical and biomechanical abilities and restrictions of the body. Donna has worked with many elite athletes and sporting clubs including Essendon Football Club for 8 years and Melbourne Storm Rugby League club for 2 years. Since 2009, she has also worked with Richmond Football Club, Australian Kangaroos National Rugby League team, Queensland Maroons and NSW Blues Origin teams, All Blacks Rugby Union team, as well as various rugby league and union teams, Sheffield Shield cricket teams and A-League soccer teams, to name a few.

Along with Pilates, she continues to work in a local Osteopathy clinic in Montmorency as well as teaching the Diploma of Remedial Massage.

Growing up and living in the local area, Donna is always out and about running or walking with her dog.

‘Change happens through movement and movement heals.’
